Mission Statement:
“To reach and disciple people of all nations into the likeness of Christ, to equip and empower them to be leaders in all areas and establish God’s Kingdom on earth.”

THIS IS A CHURCH THAT WE ENVISION TO BE...

A church that is so full of life.
A church that worships in complete abandonment that the heavens are opened.
A church in intimate yet powerful prayer that it shuts hell and unleashes heaven.
A church made up of people of all nations, that it is not defined by its ethnicity.
A church full of disciples that are reaching and making disciples of other people.
A church full of leaders, influencers and entrepreneurs of this nation.
A church that is focused on planting and strengthening other churches.
A church that prepares the way for the next generation.
A church that influences, develops and becomes the source of life to the surrounding community.
A church that is driven by its mission in establishing God’s Kingdom on earth.

We are the church…, God’s church…, LIFE CENTRE.

LIFE CENTRE'S STATEMENT OF FAITH

These are some of the fundamental beliefs at Life Centre:

1.  GOD THE FATHER
We believe in one God, in the Holy Trinity; God the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of heaven and earth and the Maker of all things visible and invisible. Gen 1:1, Deut 6:4, Matt 28:19, 2Cor 13:14, John 1:1-3

2.  THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is God Himself (the second person in the Holy Trinity) who was born through the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, revealed God’s power through miraculous signs and wonders, suffered and died on the cross in our place and rose from the dead. Then He gloriously ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us. He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead. Isa 7:14, Matt 1:23, Acts 2:22, Rom 8:34, Heb 7:25, IPet 2:2

3.  THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit (the third person in the Holy Trinity) who is ever present and active in convicting the world of guilt in regards to sin; also sanctifying, guiding and reminding all believers into all truth. Jn 14:26, Jn 16:8-12, Rom 15:16, IPet 1:2

4.  THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible (both the Old and New Testaments) is the Word of God. It is inspired by God and is given for the purpose of directing man to salvation and in all matters of faith and conduct. 2Tim 3:16-17, 2Pet 1:19-21

5.  THE DEVIL
We believe in the existence of the devil/satan, who was one of the archangels of the Living God by the name of Lucifer or the angel of light. Because of his proud and rebellious nature and his desire to be like God, God became angry and cast him down to earth. Through his influence, he had caused man to fall into sin, and now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Gen 3:1-15, Matt 4:1-11, Lk4:1-13, Jn 13:2, IPet 5:8

6.  THE FALL OF MAN
We believe that man was created by God in His image and likeness, morally upright and perfect. But he was tempted by the devil and fell into sin. Therefore, man was separated from God and became dead spiritually, living without spiritual life. Gen 1:26-31, Gen 3:1-7, Rom 5:12

7.  SALVATION OF MAN
We believe that salvation is received only by the grace of God, through the repentance of sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ Who suffered and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Who so ever believe in Him will not perish but have eternal life. They will be given the right to be children of God and live as new creations in Christ Jesus. Jn 1:12, Jn 3:16, Tit 3:5-7

8.  THE CHURCH
We believe that the Church is the Body and Bride of Christ, a congregation of believers, a dwelling place of God through His Holy Spirit. Each believer is an integral part of the Body, having the task of spreading the Gospel to men and women in all nations and making disciples of them. Matt 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16, Eph 1:22-23, Eph 2:22. We also believe that believers need to commit themselves to a cell community where they can love and care for each other and grow together in spiritual maturity. Acts 2:46-47, Acts 5:42, Acts 12:12

9.  WATER BAPTISM
We believe in water baptism by immersion, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. This is a direct command of our Lord Jesus upon all who have repented and have believed in Christ as Saviour and Lord, and it is our identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. Matt 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16, John 3:22-23, Acts 3:38, Acts 8:36-38, Col 2:12. Christian children under the age of twelve are not to be baptised, but instead they are dedicated to the Lord. An exception may be made if they already understand about sin and the real meaning of what Jesus had done on the cross. Lk 2:21-22&42, Matt 19:13-15

10. THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as the empowering of every believer with supernatural power (dunamis) in order to be an effective witness for Christ. This is accompanied by the manifestation of speaking in tongues as the initial evidence. Acts 1:4-5&8, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:15&17, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:2&6

11. THE LORD’S SUPPER
We believe in the Lord’s Supper, the partaking of the bread and wine as an expression of our sharing nature and covenant towards our brothers and sisters and a proclamation of His suffering and death until He comes. Matt 26:26-28, Lk 22:15-20, ICor 11:26

12. THE DIFFERENT KINDS OF GIFTS
We believe in the nine supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, as recorded in ICor12.  They are: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues. We believe in the ministry gifts (five fold ministry), as recorded in Eph 4:11-13.They are: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers. We believe in the motivational gifts, as recorded in Rom 12:6-8.They are: prophesying, serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leadership, mercy.

13. DIVINE HEALING
We believe that divine healing for our natural body is available through faith to all who truly believe in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. By His stripes we are healed! Isa 53:4-5, Matt 8:16-17, Mk 16:17-18, Jam 5:14-15, I Pet. 2:24.

14. DELIVERANCE
We believe in the ministry of deliverance because the main reason Jesus came was to destroy the works of the devil and to set the captives free. Through the ministry of deliverance, people are released from the devil’s bondage. A large part of Jesus’ ministry involved deliverance. That’s why the Lord Jesus has commanded the Church to do the same. Matt 10:1, Mk 3:14-15, Mk 16:17, Lk 4:18, Lk 10:19

15. THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to gather His people unto Himself. Having this glorious hope and earnest expectation, we purify ourselves so that we may be ready to meet Him when He comes. Jn 14:1-3, I Thess 4:15-17, Tit 2:13, James 5:7-8, I Jn 2:28, I Jn 3:2-3

16. THE PUNISHMENT OF THE WICKED
We believe in the everlasting punishment of the wicked (in the sense of eternal torment) who willfully reject and despise the love of God manifested in the great sacrifice of His only Son upon the cross. Matt 13:49-50, 2Thess 1:8-9, Rev 20:11-15. We believe that the devil and his angels and whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Rev. 19:20

17. THE NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH
We believe in the new heavens and the new earth. We, according to His promise, look forward to the new heavens and the new earth where righteousness will dwell. 2Pet 3:13, Rev 21 to 22

18. MORAL STANDARDS AND ETTIQUETTES
We firmly stand against and denounce homosexuality, adultery, sexual perversion, same-sex marriages, pornography, gambling, drug use & partaking of intoxicants, physical abuse, satanism, or divination in any form. Ex 22:20, Lev 18:6-23, Lev 20:10-21&27, Lev 17:7, Acts 19:19, Rom 1:26-32, I Cor 6:9-10, Eph 5:18

19. CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE
We believe that marriage is God’s initiative to fulfill His will on earth when He commanded Adam and Eve to “be fruitful and increase in number…” Gen 1:28. The Christian Marriage is intended by God to be the union of one man and one woman for life and that Christians should marry only in the Lord. Gen 2:18-24; Matt 19:4-5, Mk 10:7-8

20. TITHES AND OFFERINGS
We believe in the giving of tithes and offerings as an act of obedience to the Word of God.  Gen 14:18-20, Prov3:9-10, Mal 3:6-12

21. HEAVEN AND HELL
We believe that there is heaven and there is hell. Heaven is the dwelling place of God and where He is enthroned. Ps 2:4, Ps 11:4, Dan 2:28, Lk 24:51, Jn 3:13, Jn 14:2. Hell was not prepared for mankind but as an eternal punishment for satan, his demons and his followers. However people who refuse to receive Jesus as their saviour and choose to follow satan, will also be punished in hell. Matt 5:22, Matt 8:12, Matt 25:41&45-46, Mk 9:43-48, Jam 3:6, Rev 20:10 &15

22. THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS
We believe in the ministry of angels. Angels are spiritual beings created by God to serve Him and those who inherit salvation. In the last days the ministry of angels will be more prominent. Ex 23:20-21, I King 19:5, Dan 6:21-22, Lk 1:11-13&26-28, Lk 2:9-10, Acts 12:7, Heb 1:14, Heb 13:2
